The LISD school board voted to promote offensive coordinator Colby Hensley to the position at a special meeting Wednesday night.

Gonzales city councilman Tommy Schurig (left) assists Dr. Rusty Clampit injecting a horse during the Horse Health Day at the Edwards Community Center Saturday. 33 horses participated, each receiving a vaccination for West Nile Virus, VEWT and tetanus. Each horse also received a tube of paste wormer and Purina Mills donated 20 bags of horse feed that went to the first 20 owners showing up at the event. Clampit provided veterinary expertise and answered questions from horse owners at no charge. The followup booster shot will be given June 12 at 10 a.m. at teh same location.
