Arson trial in Cuero results in life sentence

Cuero – Elliot Byron Clark, 31, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was given a life sentence on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 after being found guilty of Arson by a DeWitt County jury. Clark was arrested in Arkansas, where he had fled after the fire, on a DeWitt County warrant charging him with setting a trailer home on fire back in February 20, 2009. The trailer which was a total loss was located on Zorn Road in western DeWitt County.
Sheriff’s Investigator Carl Bowen, lead investigator on the case, determined that Clark and the trailer owner had an argument and Clark was told to leave. Minutes after Clarks’ departure, the trailer erupted in flames.
District Attorney Michael Sheppard presented the case to the DeWitt County jury. After a day and a half trial, 24th Judicial District Judge “Skipper” Koetter handed down the life sentence.
Clark will held in the DeWitt County Detention Center until transport to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

I was not the one who made the comment but I have a question. I wrote a letter to the editor in regards to the "new roads" being made at JB wells and the trash. I was just wondering why it was not published?
