Stafford man charged with sexual assaults on child

CUERO — Deputies from DeWitt and Fort Bend Counties this week arrested a Stafford man on a charge of continuing sexual assault of a child under 14, according to a news release from the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office.
Pablo V. Alvarez Jr., 59, is in the DeWitt County Detention Center pending bail on a $300,000 bond.
The victim told family members who contacted the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office. Investigation revealed that the reported assaults also took place in Fort Bend County as well as in DeWitt County and that additional charges may also be filed in Fort Bend County, according to the news release.
