The monthly meeting of the I-10 Corridor Association will take place on Friday, Sept. 10 at the Cuero Chamber of Commerce office on Church Street at 10 a.m.
The meeting will feature a seminar entitled, “Nuts and Bolts:  Behind the Scenes of Event Planning and Funding”.
This group exercise, led by panelist Barbara Hand, Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture; Kay Lapp, Cuero Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture; Sherry Nefford-Esse of the Seguin Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Topics will include event planning, funding, logistics, sponsor recognitions, and when to know it’s time to retire an event.
Hand is an active member of the Gonzales “Come and Take It” Festival, Lapp just completed a highly successful “World Series of Cuero” event and Nefford-Esse serves as Co-chair for the Pecan Fest Heritage Days in Seguin.
After the meeting and program, visitors will be able to view remarkable antiques from Reuss Pharmacy of Cuero at the museum located inside the Chamber of Commerce building.
As Texas’ oldest continually running pharmacy, Reuss Pharmacy has been able to keep and maintain their pharmaceutical antiques, such as old cola fountains, mixing bowls, medicine jars and candy containers.
