Waelder church stained glass windows repaired

The First Baptist Church of Waelder has a new look, outside and inside.
The beautiful stained glass windows have been repaired and recovered with see-through glass so that all can enjoy the beautiful colors.  Previously there had been old faded plexiglass covering these windows and the glass could not be seen throught the yellowing. 
Now all needed repairs have been completed by Victoria Stained Glass Window Company of Victoria, Texas.  FBC is located at 410 N. Ave. E in Waelder.  Feel free to drive by and appreciate the beautiful view.
Other needed repairs have been made in the church.  In the old Sunday school rooms, all the old ruined carpet has been removed and replaced with new tile flooring and the old partial ceilings have been torn out and replaced with painted plywood.  In addition, the old paneling has been repainted for a new look.
Our church has been actively seeking a new pastor in the last few months.
With God’s guidance, we think our search has ended.  Brother Jimmy Aldridge of the Dallas area came to preach for us, a second time, on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Also on that day, we celebrated our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner with the First Methodist Church, following in the Fellowship Hall.
The meat was provided and everyone brought a side dish - a vegetable or a dessert.
