GISD trustees to meet Monday

The Gonzales ISD Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at  the Gonzales Junior High Library.

Trustees will review campus updates from the administration as well as budget amendments. Many of teh budget amendments are the result of the changeover in school years. The administration will also hold a presentation on the proposed remodeling project for the East Avenue and North Avenue elementary cafeterias.

The board will also consider possible action on approving the Make Education a Priority resolution. That resolution is an expression by school districts in Texas of support for the next legislature to maintain funding levels for education in the wake of a projected $20 billion budget shortfall.

Trustees will also review and may approve the final design for renovations to the high school band hall and the junior high gymnasium.
