Slideshow: The Jim Price Cleanup: a great tradition continues
Saturday was a great day for all as people from all over town came together for the annual James C. Price Clean-up Day. People met at Apache Field Saturday morning for breakfast and the send off. Dr. James Price and his wife Marilyn Price were there to see it all. GVEC, Texan Nursing and Rehab, and the Gonzales High School Interact Club were just a few of the many groups of hard working people who gave up their time and energy to help with this cause. Some groups went around and picked up trash, others trimmed trees, the Interact Club even continued with their project of painting fire hydrants. The goal of this day is to help make the town a little nicer for all who come to visit.
Aside from the organizations who participated, many individuals worked to clean up their own property and/or their neighborhood despite the rain that came towards noon.
This project would not be possible without the support of the BFI, the City Council and all the individuals and organizations who come out every year.
