Nixon-Smiley election set May 8

The Nixon-Smiley CISD Board of Trustees on Monday held a public hearing on the district’s Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) report and reviewed bond construction and financing updates.
Three board positions will be up for re-election on May 5: Place 1 (Nixon), Place 5 (Smiley) and Place 7 (At-Large). Thoe interested in filing for candidacy can pick up an application and Appointment of Campaign Treasurer form from the Nixon-Smiley CISD Administration Office, 800 Rancho Road, Nixon, Texas78140.
