Mustangs polish off Poth

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs closed out District 28-2A play Friday by stopping Poth by a 2-1 score.
The Mustangs got a six-hitter from pitcher Garrett Ruiz, while John Guerra drove in one run and scored another to pace the N-S offense.
The win gave the Mustangs a 1-9 district record, and was their third of the season in 25 outings.
