No injuries reported in Wilson Co. gas pipeline explosion

HOUSTON — No injuries were reported when an Enterprise Product Partners LP natural gas pipeline exploded Thursday in Wilson County, according to a filing with state regulators released to news media on Friday.
The Wilson County sheriff’s Office reported that it had received no notifications of any injuries.
In a notification to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Enterprise said a 20-inch diameter pipeline exploded because of “unknown reasons” in Wilson County. The company said it is continuing to look at possible causes for the explosion.
“The nearest block valves to the rupture location were shut as soon as possible,” the company said in its filing.
