GANDRE
Luella Gandre, 96, of Gonzales, died peacefully Tuesday, August 24, 2010, in Gonzales. She was born in Cost, TX, on June 28, 1914, to John and Elsa Raeke Froehner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Wilson “Bill” Gandre. She is survived by her sister, Marie Schauer of Cost; daughters, Florence Swoap of Cost, and Edith Koss and husband Gary of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Danny Swoap and wife Kristin of Floydada, TX, Diana Junker and husband David of Klamath Falls, OR, Darrell Swoap and wife Heather of Jacksonville, FL, and Jay Clemons and wife Heidi of Phoenix, AZ; nine great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday August 27th, 2010, at Monthalia United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Monthalia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight MacAllister, John Raeke, Wilfred Gandre, Butch Gandre, L.A. Lindemann, Jr., and Guy Gandre. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Schauer, Clifton Raeke, Allan Fink, and George Gandre. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 26th, 2010, at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home in Gonzales. Memorials may be made to the Monthalia United Methodist Church.
