Slideshow: Shiner Heritage Quilters youth classes

The Shiner Heritage Quilters sponsored the annual Youth Quilting Classes on July 12 – 15, 2010 .  Members (l to r) are:  Beverly Svetlik, Carolyn and Marilyn Schroeder, Carolyn Janak, Bernadette Kresta, Carol Pratka, Carolyn Svetlik, and Irene Cerny.  Students (l to r) are:  Trinity Kusak, Christine Janak, Hanna Novosad, Victoria Kusak, and Samantha Neal.  Seated are:  Hannah Bordovsky, Brooke Kloesel, Darby Johnson and Holden Fisher. The students learned many piecing, quilting and finishing techniques as they constructed their own wall hangings.  Shiner Heritage Quilters provided all the fabric, instructions and “tender lovin’ care”.  Martha’s Quilting Corner in Shiner donated all the batting for the quilts and the First United Methodist Church of Shiner offered the Fellowship Hall for the classes.
