Wildcats top 100 in victory

The Waelder Wildcats bagged a pair of district wins this week, including one in which they topped the century mark in scoring for the first time.
The Wildcats stopped Austwell-Tivoli by a 64-57 score on Tuesday to move to 3-0 in district play, while on Friday the ‘Cats tore up Nordheim by a final score of 101-48.
The balanced Waelder attack pulled away to grab the win over Austwell-Tibvoli as Corey Wilson scored 18 points, Chris Sirilo added 15 and Dontrai Houston scored 14.
Franky Carrillo had eight and Torrey Fields added six in the win.
Four Wildcats scored in double figures in the romp over Nordheim. Wilson led the way with 31 points, while Carrillo had 24, Sirilo scored 19 and Houston had 10.
Fields also contributed nine points in the effort.
