The owner of the Christian Kids Day Care Center in Gonzales says she is flabbergasted by a report of a “poisoning” incident at the school which she believes has been sensationalized by a newspaper.

Several parents of children attending Gonzales’ Christian Kids Day Care center are standing behind the facility following last week’s accident involving a mild cleaning solution being given to children to drink.

Last Thursday, I got to attend a screening of a rough draft of a documentary (Rise and Shine: The story of Jay DeMerit) of American soccer player DeMerit, a native of Green Bay, Wis. who went from a high school multi-sport athlete and college soccer standout to not being chosen in the USA to play for any professional soccer teams.
