SEGUIN — The King Ranger Theater is offering a different view of the movies and the building itself.
Owners Kenneth King and Marilyn King celebrated the new look with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
Up until recently the movie house still used reels of film to show the latest flicks. But as the digital age continues to take over, the Kings knew it was time to make a change.
GUADALUPE COUNTY — A 17-year old from Luling died after she was ejected from her car Tuesday morning. Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers said Lauren Ashley Longe was traveling east on U.S. Highway 90 Alternate around 8:30 a.m. when the 2000 Ford Explorer she was driving crossed the highway and left the road, rolling over multiple times. The Explorer drove down the embankment, and upon hitting the bar ditch began to flip, troopers said.

SEGUIN — Authorities believe that Cody Lorenz may have removed his alcohol monitor and may have been purchasing beer prior to the wreck that sent him to a San Antonio hospital on Saturday.
Lorenz was seriously injured when the truck he was riding in wrecked on Schuenemann Road Saturday evening. The driver, Jayson Sponable, is facing possible intoxication assault charges stemming from the accident.
Lorenz was flown to San Antonio Military Medical Center following the accident and is currently listed as in stable condition.
SEGUIN — A Seguin High School student and a crew of oil field workers are being credited for acting quickly to get the multiple victims out of harm’s way following a fiery four-vehicle wreck on State Highway 123 south of Seguin on Friday.
A total of 14 people were injured in the accident, officials said.
Texas Department of Public Safety regional spokesperson Trooper Jason Reyes said the collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. and involved a Seguin ISD school bus, a tractor trailer hauling gravel, a PT Cruiser and a Ford Focus.
GUADALUPE COUNTY — A head-on collision claimed the life of a Gonzales man on Wednesday night.
A spokesperson from the Texas Department of Public Safety said the accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 90 Alternate and Dowdy Road.
A Ford F-350 driven by Robert Buffington Jr., 53, of Seguin, was headed westbound on Highway 90A, when the right front tire of the truck blew out.

SEGUIN -- Cody Lorenz has been arrested and will be charged with murder in connection with the car wreck that claimed the life of a 19-year-old Gonzales woman.
Detective Lt. Jerry Hernandez said Lorenz, 20, was arrested Friday evening after investigators received the results of a blood test indicating he was intoxicated at the time of the wreck that killed Amber Leigh Robbins.
SEGUN — A 19-year-old Gonzales resident was killed in a traffic accident Thursday night.
Seguin Police Detective Sgt. Victor Pacheco said accident happened at the intersection of Highway 46 and west Kingsbury Street around 10 p.m.
Officers said Amber Robbins,19, was traveling south bound on Highway 46 when her Chevy Trailblazer was struck by a Dodge 2500, that was driving west bound on Kingsbury Street, Pacheco said.
“According to witnesses the pickup may have run a red light,” he said.
