Slideshow: Yoakum man dies in accident

An 82-year-old Yoakum man was killed Friday morning in an accident on U.S. Hwy. 183 South. Earl Franklin Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle was struck by a gravel truck northbound on the highway. Department of Public Safety troopers said Wyatt was leaving the Hamon Community near County Road 302 driving a Ford pickup truck, and attempted to turn southbound Hwy. 183 when his vehicle was struck by an empty gravel truck driven by Bobby Lee Burleson for the Rocking P Trucking Co.
