Sandra Ann Hunt-- 1970-2016

Sandra Ann Hunt, 46, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Sandra was born May 25, 1970 in Gonzales to Manuel and Eva Ramirez Lopez. She was a member of Faith Family Church in Gonzales. Sandra is survived by her mother and father, Eva and Manuel Lopez, Sr., of Gonzales, daughters, Kristen Leigh Hunt of Austin and Shania Ann Lloyd of Gonzales, son, Kyle Anthony Rivera of Gonzales, grandchild, Kylie Rivera of Gonzales, sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Robert Cantu, Debra and Christopher Escobedo, Sarah and Jeffery Lookabill, Angela and Richard Hood and Roxanne Lopez all of Gonzales, brothers and sisters-in-law, Manuel Lopez, Jr and Rhonda of New Braunfels and Louis and Diane Lopez of Gonzales. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Forrest Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Gonzales Memorial Park.

Dolores Walker Sherry -- 1948-2016

Dolores Walker Sherry, 87 of Gonzales, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. Dolores was born August 19, 1928 in Flatonia to Edward Fred Walker and Sophie Michal Walker. She married Lester Leon Sherry on March 17, 1948 in La Grange. Dolores was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Dolores Sherry was a quiet unassuming lady who lovingly cared for her family and people in general. When called upon she would off sound advice, otherwise she kept to herself. She was a devout Christian and practiced her faith throughout her life. She dearly appreciated the kindness she found in people. She enjoyed playing tennis and bowling with her husband in earlier times and loved their road trips together. She was an avid reader and liked traveling with her lady friends to Branson, Mo.

Elroy Steen, Sr.-- 1938-2016

Elroy Steen, Sr., was the fifth child born to the union of Fred Douglas Steen and Lugenia Lampkin on June 26, 1938
Elroy “Red” Steen married Earlene Clack on January 27, 1957.  They were blessed with three loving and devoted children; Glenda, Elroy Jr., and Gloryn Ann.
Red accepted Christ at an early age and rededicated his life at Little Hill Baptist Church.  Everyone who was close to him knew that he loved working in the oil industry.  Many of his fondest memories that he shared with his family were from the oilfield with his many friends.
Elroy was preceded in death by both parents, daughter; Gloryn Ann, brothers; Fred Douglas “Boo” and Johnnie Lee, one sister; Josie Mae Johnson, and great grandson Noah Blake Harris.

Allen Carl Wehlmann-- 1929-2016

Allen Carl Wehlmann, 86, of Victoria, formerly of Gonzales, passed away Sunday.  Allen was born August 22, 1929 in Victoria to Gus Frank Wehlmann and Frances Faltesek Wehlmann.  He graduated from Patty Welder High School in Victoria with the Class of 1948.  Allen married Hattie Marie Urban on December 28, 1950 in Victoria.  He was a member of the Gonzales First Lutheran Church, a life member of the Gonzales Elk Lodge, B.P.O.E., the Gonzales VFW Post 4817, the Gonzales I.O.O.F., and the Gonzales Noon Lions Club.

Nannie Belle Nethery Glasco­-- 1922-2016

Nannie Belle Nethery Glasco, age 94, passed away Wednesday at her home in Smiley.  She was born on February 9, 1922 in Gonzales to James Oliver and Dru Ella Bowers Nethery.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Void William Glasco on July 17, 2015; a son, William Glasco; two brothers:  Clyde and Glen Nethery; two sisters, Mae Damon and Myrtle Nowlin; and a grandchild, Bonnie Lee Glasco.  Nannie Belle is survived by her daughters:  Linda Talley and husband Lynn of Seguin, Margaret Teasdale and husband John of Austin, Kathy Whitehead and husband Roy of Smiley, Shirley Jahnsen and husband Henry of Seguin; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jolene Leazer of Gonzales; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Glasco of Smiley; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.
